The FBM203 series modules are high-precision analog input devices designed to interface RTD sensors with I/A Series or Foxboro Evo™ control systems. Each input channel accepts a 2- or 3-wire RTD sensor (FBM203, FBM203b, FBM203c) or a 4-wire RTD sensor (FBM203d) and supports resistance ranges up to 320 Ω, 640 Ω, or 30 Ω depending on the module type. All analog inputs are galvanically isolated from other channels and ground, ensuring accurate and reliable measurement in industrial environments.
These modules perform the necessary signal conversion to communicate sensor readings with optionally redundant fieldbus networks. They execute an analog input application program, providing configurable conversion times and Rate of Change Limits for flexible, precise control. The FBM203/b/c/d modules are compatible with Foxboro Evo™ Control Core Services or I/A Series® software, depending on the module version, making them adaptable to a variety of control system architectures.
For convenient field wiring, the FBM203 series supports passive termination assemblies (TAs). DIN rail-mounted or baseplate-mounted TAs allow easy connection to field I/O and maintain backward compatibility with the functionality of the 100 Series FBM I/O subsystem. This design ensures seamless integration into existing installations while providing the accuracy and reliability needed for modern industrial automation applications.
